Cast acrylic masking

Hi all,

Do you cut acrylic with the masking or do you remove it first?

If it is poly masking, I'd remove it and replace with paper mask. If it is paper mask already you are all set to cut.

I don"t hesitate to leave it on if it's paper. Be aware that some plastic masks aren't laser safe..go figure. Not everyone cuts acrylic with a laser. Most shops saw cut. You can call the mfg and they will tell you what it is.

I've not had any cast acrylic with a plastic masks, but will keep that in mind. Thanks! :)
