2 fancy canes

maple on left was made to look very old. the cherry on the right was made for my own use. Time consuming, but fun to make.

I remember as a kid "helping" my dad make a cane for my grandpa. It has always been in the back of my mind that someday I will probably make one for my dad. Those are some good looking ones - and well done making the maple cane to appear old. Did you cut and shape the spirals by hand?

Nice Michelle............looks like they will serve the ones who use them well. I like your handle on the cherry version. Both the spiral and the criss-cross pattern are nice. I could imagine they would indeed be time consuming.

Hi Baxter..it does look blue, but it's black. black & sanded through on the outer edges. Crazy camera I guess a 99.00 coolpix Nikon. Lucky to get a picture at all I suspect. Thanks all
