I put the little bowl on the other day and got some good constructive feedback which I tried to apply to its big brother. Constructive feedback is welcome!

I like the shape and the base you got on them. The cove around the rim almost gives the impression each is a bowl in a bowl.

Keith, looks like progress is being made. Detailing and overall design is such a personal thing, so comments from others to that end may or may not be helpful. Personally, I would probably do a little smaller foot - closer to 1/3 of the diameter, and while I like the cove detail on the rim, I think I would like it better on the inside. The way it is, it seems to take away from the height of the bowl.

Just my opinion. Nonetheless, you did some nice work on these!

Keith - considering that these are bowls 2 & 3 - I think you did a really good job! As far as form - that will vary from one person to the next and even your tastes will vary after you turn for awhile. Just keep turning and have fun with it! Looking forward to seeing what you turn next!

Look good to me. Just trying to get smooth curves and a fairly even wall thickness would be a good goal and it looks like you have done that!

John,
To be totally honest the cove on the outside came as a result of fixing a catch!
