Just wanted to share...we were given a few blanks that weren't selling at a store and decided to spruce them up a bit. I used 100 power and 25 speed at 300 DPI. Looked great out of the machine with zero cleanup/residue. I attached the CDR as well in case anyone else wants to give it a shot. Thanks for looking.

I have now engraved a margarita recipe on the other side using the same font and a glass w/paper umbrella from Corel. Very simple, yet adds a lot.

It should be 2500...I did not bother to change it from the default.

Sorry, that was a stupid question. Not applicable to raster engraving..only vector cutting.:o

I just engraved logos onto 200, 16 x10 x2" Maple cutting boards for a cabinet maker who gives one to each of his 'full kitchen' customers.. Cutting boards also make good housewarming gifts..
This is one I posted a few years ago, that I gave to my daughter and son-in-law when they bought a 140 year old farm (my main source of turkey and deer now:p).. It was engraved from a old air photo taken in the 60's into a dollar store cutting board, and a wall hanger was nailed into the back.

I did this last year for a couple of friends. They loved it so much, they brought 3 more in for Christmas presents.

I like that...never would have thought to overlap the text like that but it works well.

Very nice layout! Those make great presents, everyone always needs a nice cutting board/cheese board/bread board.

I like the kitchen conversion. Sometimes when you're cooking, it's easy to forget the simplest conversions! Great idea.

I also like the text overlay on the other text. It looks really sharp, would have never thought to do that.

Or... you guys could start using the metric system like most other countries :D

Well it has it's good and bad.. Canada adopted the metric system quite a while ago. Now, the ten miles an hour the cops used to give you as leaway, is now 10kmph (6mph) the fines all followed suit, it just made the paper work easier, the 20mph over fine is now 20kph over(12mph) ..etc.etc.etc.. And when they jack up the price of gas 3cents a liter it doesn't sound like much but that's 11.3 cents per u.s. gal. So the oil companies hit you just a bit harder and many don't really notice (at least they hope you don't)... Metric has some benefits, but their mostly offset by the gouging at all levels.
