Thanks to the Tyler Tool 40% off sale, I now own a Dewalt 621 plunge router. Unfortunately, I know very little about routers and how to use them and was hoping to get some suggestions for books, DVDs, websites, etc to help. If there was a class nearby, I would go, but the closest Woodcraft is almost 2 hours away. I'm not trying to do anything fancy. For now I only need to know what else I need to buy and what I need to know to be able to do four things:

1. Butterfly inlays across the gaps in flitch tabletops
2. Template routing curved pieces for Adirondack chair arms and legs
3. Using the router to drill mortices
4. Using roundover and chamfer bits to finish edges

Thanks in advance,

Steve

A good place to start would be "WOODWORKING WITH THE ROUTER" - By Bill Hylton This will give you some ideas as to how to properly use your new tool.

Routerforums dot com is a good one. Also try the Woodwhisperer. There are lots of videos at http://www.graspr.com/videos/Arts-Crafts/Woodworking/
