Noone thinks the Pats (the defending super bowl champs, the winners of 2 out the last 3 super bowls :D ) are going to beat the lowly colts?

Here's some incentive!!!

How do you miss TWO FG's to win the game?

Tim Jeff and Ken S all have 1 point for covering the spread. But I wanted the Jets to win to give the Pats home field next week.

Looking forward (salivating) for this afternoon's games. A bunch of us "guys" are getting together @ my son's house for football, chili, italian food and beer. Should be a great day! Yesterday's games were a little disappointing: Pittsburgh looked flat, QB was off, running game OK and were it not Jets miss 2 FG's. could have been a surprising upset. In 2nd game, Atlanta jun ran away from Rams. Hope today has better games! Maybe I'll do better on my pool picks! And Tim, watch out for those colts! Hope its a good day of football either way!!

weather in Foxboro this afternoon:

... Snow Advisory in effect from 4 PM this afternoon to 5 am EST
Monday for Rhode Island and interior eastern Massachusetts...

The National Weather Service in Taunton MA has issued a Snow
Advisory.

A rapidly developing gale center passing southeast of Nantucket
Island early Monday will bring steady and significant powdery snow
to much of Rhode Island... central and interior eastern Massachusetts.

Three to 6 inches is forecast in Rhode Island and interior eastern
Massachusetts by dawn Monday with 2 to 4 inches in Worcester County.

The snow should begin in earnest between 3 and 5 PM today.

Gusty northeast winds should cause a bit of drifting snow during the
night.

All travel this evening will be slowed by the snow which may be
briefly heavy.

Let it snow let it snow let it snow!!!!!!!!

Chili is on and Bloody Mary's are next!! Can you believe the J_E_T JETS????

With ONE to play it looks like Jeff and I are still 3 for 3 with him taking Indy and I'm taking NE and giving him a poing and a half. One of us will be 4 for 4 and the tiebreaker will not come into play.....

Are you ready for some football???????

BTW...you won't see me coming in early during the pats game claiming victory OR defeat...it WILL come down to the last play of the game.

Go pats!!!!

And now you know why I don't gamble! :o ;) :D We've had a casino in town for 6-7 years....LOML and I went there for breakfast one Sunday morning recently ....she played the slots and I kept my hands and money in my pocket. We've gone to another casino about 110 miles away.....same scenerio as above but we were going for entertainment being offered.....again I just don't gamble. If you look at my picks and the results....that's why I don't gamble! :D

It's looking more and more like a PA Superbowl!

Kudos to the Pats offense--they kept Manning off the field, so he never got into his rhythm. Maybe next year....

Tim Congratulations!! The Pats were magnificent (even tho I picked the Colts). Shutting down Peyton & co. and then keeping them off the field w a controlling offense was outstanding. I attribute this to excellent coaching. Belicheck, altho not one of my favorites, did a superior job of having the Pats ready w a plan AND they executed. My respect for the Pats went up another notch..Maybe this IS your year..RedSox etc ... OK so maybe I didn't win the pool...:) :D

Yeah the Steelers looked SO good against the Jets, no WAY the pats can compete with THAT :D :D :D

We'll play the game anyway just in case we might be able to compete.

The STEELERS (altho my pick) looked TERRIBLE against the Jets. They were fortunate to win On other hand, N.E, was OUTSTANDING in all respects in easily handling the Colts. If I had to pick, I'd take New England @ this point for next Sunday and Phillay in the other game. We'll see.

Hey Tim: Have you announced the winner(S) ?:D

Tim,

I may live in Vermont, but I was brought up 30 miles from Pittsburgh, So I gotta go with my Steelers this weekend. You, being a Pats fan and all should know not to judge this weeks game on last weeks results. Remember how bad the Pats looked in the last meeting and how good they looked the next week. If either get bit by the turnover bug early the other will definitely make them pay for it. I think it will come down to which team makes the fewest mistakes and which team makes the other pay for those mistakes.

I call for it to be EVEN odds!

I do, however believe that the NFC isn't gonna like facing either of these 2 defenses or running games. The Steelers and Patriots are way too physical for either of the Dirty Birds left in the NFC. Many may disagree, but the only 2 teams in teh NFC that could do decent against such physical competition are the Redskins & Cowboys - notice I said "do decent" not win!

The AFC Championship game, in my opinion, will decide the Super Bowl Winner!

My take on the game is the same as it was for the Indy game. When it comes right down to it the pats always find a way to win when it counts. I think Tom Brady LIVES for games like this, and if truth be told judging the performance of rothesberger and the steelers, they are hearing footsteps. I was a little nervous before the Indy game, and to be honest I am alot less worried about the Steelers. Not to take anything away from Pittsburgh, its just that the pats are "in the zone" right now. My prediction 21-13 pats

Oh and the winnder of last weeks pool was ME!!! :D
