Corel x4 question

I have a few gears to cut what is the easy way of connecting the nodes on the gear so the lasers sees it as on line to cut

Select the lines, then under the "Arrange" menu, "Close Path - closest nodes with staright lines".

If this messes up, then undo and weld the line sections in a sensible order first, followed by the Close Path command again.
