Would like some critique & feedback on this page on designing a Bow saw.
https://home.comcast.net/~boondocker1/Designing%20a%20bow%20saw.htm

I'm going to use it as a syllibus for promoting a local woodworking class. Any deletions or glairing ommisions or suggestions appreciated.

BTW, I finished my trio of saws today and boy am I glad that's over. :D Hopefully this will be the LAST you all have to hear of Jerry's damn wood saws! :o

Thanks

I think it's great! :)

The only things I could see adding:

A quick description of how the blade mounts.

Maybe a pointer on where to get blades...

A brief description of your gun makers finish.

All in all, though - it's very nicely done!

good - I'll take care of that

Maybe a pointer on where to get blades...

tOK - another good point

A brief description of your gun makers finish.

I did not include that because I didn't want to get students distracted by trying to track down strange chemicals and esoteric formulas and applications. If this calss is picked up by the local woodworkers I can take time during clas to discus that. Beyond that it's a users choice how he/she finished the project.

All in all, though - it's very nicely done!

Thank you - appreciate it

Jerry,
Great job on the tutorial. You make it look like a very easy process. I marked your site for future reference.

I agree with Leif that some info on blade attachement would be nice, as well as how you had to modify the blade for your small saw.
