Does anyone have any experience using a 2 piece edge banding router set?

I have a similar set from Infinity tools. With careful set up they make the glue up much easier since the parts are locked at the correct height to one another. For putting a solid edge on shop veneered panels it works quite well, but with the very thin veneers on store-bought plywood you still have to be extra cautious when sanding or scaping flush not to go through the veneer. I've about concluded its cheaper and easier to just use solid wood for most shelves.

Sounds like you are saying that is works but in the end its just a pain.

I bought the shaper set, and I will say it, they do work, but in the end, it's just a pain. The issue is that they make the pieces have a very sharp point(s), and it is very fragile against the fence after you pass the cutter. One of the online videos showed adding a strip to the top to protect the pieces, but to me, that adds more time to it than I was saving.

I ended up going back to making tongue and gooves for my solid wood banding.

I have either a Freud or Whiteside set but agree they are a pain. For me more trouble than they are worth.
