Made this little pot a few weeks ago, this little piece of MM (Manitoba Maple) has been sitting in one of my lidded plastic 5 gallon pails for a couple of years, and when I came across it again decide to use it rather than have it sit there for eternity :).

It's just a couple of inches wide/tall :D.

Really nice Leo. I was also going to say it is smiling for a good reason.

Leo, you must have quite a stash of that Manitoba Maple! This little fellow sure has some nice figure!

You always can use it for a mood bowl, Right side up, smile. Bottom's up, frown. The grain looks good upside down, call it a bonnet.

That'll hold some M&M's, happily I would imagine!!

Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and caldron bubble.

Needs a cool stirring stick!

Thanks Baxter :D, yes I suppose I would to, but if it hadn't been in there, the red color would be all gone I think :D

Really nice Leo. I was also going to say it is smiling for a good reason.

I suppose you are right there, if that was the case ;), thanks hé ;)

John the big pieces are all gone I'm afraid, but there are smaller chunks here and there, not so much my favorite sizes, more like your size of turnings :D :D :D

He Dan all I have to do is look in the mirror, no mood bowl required :D, thanks for commenting, love it

No M&Ms here to often, SWMBO thinks I will get too fat eating stuff like that  :D, thank you for taking the time to comment :D

LOL :D, thanks, yes I think I can supply that, Ha ;)

Very nice little cauldron.

Thanks Greg :D, it has some eye appeal doesn't it :)

Nice design Leo! Amazing wood! Glad you got it out where folks can appreciate it!

Thank you Steve :D, it was about all I could get out off it and keep the colorful part, the Manitoba Maple around here seldom has much red coloration, I assume the fungus to cause this isn't very prevalent around here.
I've had a few chunks that were right blood red, but the red color just doesn't last very long, so hopefully the form/shape will be able to carry it all by itself :)

That little piece seems real happy to be out, great colors, great turning.

Thanks Roland :D, it will be free from now on ;):D

love the figure in the wood.............nice form!

Thanks Roger :D
