Hi All
I did this in early 2004 and forgot all about it .The LOML found it in the china hutch and said I need to show it to people so here it is let me know what you think.
maple and cocobolo about 4"w x 8" t bowl balances on stem maple U is the counter balance.

Harry I could see a whole series in this design. Experiment with the balancing and maybe some not so balance. Great job of thinking out of the box.

Harry, I am impressed!!! There are so many things that could go wrong with this piece in the making of it - not the least of which would be just a "tad" of warp, or a little more drying on one side. Really very interesting and I agree with Bob B. - lot of possibilities with this.

The maple has the appearance of stone...great illusion and amazing combination of stuff!

Thank you all for the very nice comments,The LOML is usually right on these things so I showed her what some of you said and she said I should lisen to her more often.The bad thing is she's right.I've been thinking also about trying another one but a little different it just takes awhile to figure out the piece and then how to do it.
