Aussie Acacia Carneii (Australian Purple Heart)

Quite rare as. This timber grows in Desert Country and retains its Purple Colour unlike other Purple Heart timbers.

I think is lovely including the figure in the sapwood.

Yet another Aussie timber I was not aware of...

It's a pretty pen. It reminds me a bit of our eastern red cedar with the yellow sapwood.
