inlay on guitar neck

a friend built this accustic guitar and wanted his name on the neck,took awhile of carefull layout and lots of scrap ,then did the real piece rosewood and maple

Looks great ! Only problem I can see is when he reams the holes out for the tuners the bushings may cover the "L" a little bit.

i agree but he had his reasons for that height ,maybe the tuners he used do not cover a lot.
We could have gone closer to the top
