Electrical Sub-panel installation

Many new improvements in the Peterson household requires the addition of a sub-panel for more breakers. I am having an electrician come by and check the work this weekend. But, I wanted to know if there is a minimum distance the sub-panel needs to be from a utility sink? I would like to mount it in a position that makes re-wiring circuits easy and this puts it two feet away from my basement utility sink. Any info would be appreciated, or I'll find out for sure on the weekend when the electrician comes.

I'm having a brain cramp and can't think of any code reasons either that would prohibit the installation or allow it. Part of being home sick, I guess.

I would post the question on the Do It Yourself Electrical Forum (http://forum.doityourself.com/forumdisplay.php?f=9). There are some extremely knowledgeable folks who monitor the questions including the moderator and there are a couple of professional electricians who chime in.

Post your question with a title of "Subpanel near Utility Sink" or something similar.

thanks for the suggestions, I went off-site and found an answer promptly. Proximity is fine as long as it is not over the sink and allows for adequate front of panel clearance

I ran a sub-panel in my garage shop and placed it within 18" horizontal to a sink and it was accepted by the local building department.
