I apprentice under a man who leases space at an old saw mill. We are not working with this equipment. Most of this equipment is currently being used though. The delta saw pictured I am trying to obtain. I enjoy seeing this equipment being used. I thought yall might like to see pics.

Will,
The folks at Old Woodworking Machinery (owwm.org) would be very interested in your photos.

Does kind of give new meaning to the term "Chop saw".

You GOT the Delta table saw, right ??

My first thoughts:

Not going in there, after dark. Not on a BET !
And they run ALL the dust collection with the 2HP Harbor Freight DC ;-)
Given enough time in that place, I could either make a DOOZY of a bookcase, OR ... contract a WICKED case of tetanus !

Very cool pics. Thanks for posting them !

They take what the big lumber after they knock the round off of them in the resaw mill and make large planks with them. They seem to cater to trucking companies (cants, dunnage, blocks, wedges) The name of the place is Booth Lumber Company. There are a few websites pertaining to it and they appear to be fraud. I know for a fact nobody there is running a website There is some weird stuff going on with someone who tried to buy the place. I dont know much about it. The man I am apprenticing under just rents space there.

Yes, I did aquire the Delta Unisaw 36-825. It needs some things but the saw was given to me. I am going to restore. I feel confident I can do it. I've got yall to lean on. I have good news on getting a planer. I may get a BridgeWood 20 inch planer. Its not a tabletop planer and has to sets of knives. I have not made the deal on it yet and will let yall know when I do.
