Can anyone recommend a set of tail vise plans? Preferably plans you have built.
Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the plans are in Scott Landis' "The Workbench Book". They have the plans for the Frank Klaus bench that includes a tail vise. I'll double check when I get home to see if that is the right Workbench book.

I made most of the Klaus workbench when I was only about 4 months into woodworking. I looked at that tail vise and just could not wrap my mind around what was happening. If I was doing it now, I would make a tail vise.

Brian, I did notice that there is a google sketchup model for the Klaus tail vise floating around. It looks pretty complete. Currently that looks like my best bet. I have also seen this plan: http://www.jeffgreefwoodworking.com/pnc/ShopProj/woodvice/index.html but I could not really figure out how the support system worked.
Thanks!

I'm at home now and it is the Scott Landis book. I can't judge between the two, but the link you showed may be simpler while Frank Klaus' may be better supported. I'll wait and watch for a post from someone who made the tail-vise.
