I like fleece outwear but I would never wear it around the lathe. Yesterday I decided to see just how bad it would be if I wore it while turning. The results were as expected:eek:

It looked something like this - Ghillie suit (http://www.theghilliesuits.com/images/poncho/ul-stalkerwoodland.jpg)

It took me 15 minutes to clean it off but at least I have an idea if I decide to go squirrel hunting.

Fleece....? Might as well spray yourself with adhesive and roll around in your shavings.... :)

I know what you mean Bill. Every once and a while I wonder down into the shop wearing fleece sweat pants and I can't stop myself from picking up a piece and putting it on the lathe. Next thing I know pants are covered and my Crocs are full of chips.

Alan thanks for the fix.

Yep, tried the crocks, something else to avoid.

Being a hill-billy currently living in Florida, and having the lathe in a back room of the house, I occasionally wander in there in my stocking feet. I've spent hours picking shavings out of the socks!

Uhhhh. The 'nekked' post must have just snuck in ahead of mine. Yes, I have rightfully been accused of being crazy, but not like that:D
