I picked up a maple stump, Norway Maple I think, from the green waste dump last summer. This is a shallow bowl or deep platter I turned from some of the wood. 11.5" by 2" with AO and a Beall buff.

Beautiful feather grain in that one ........... What a great find at the dump, no less! You did a masterful job in this turning.........gives me some inspiration!

Oh to have such a junkyard! The figure in that thing is just all over the place! It almost overshadows the beautiful job you did on the turning. But only "almost"!

Beautiful bowl, much too pretty to be turned into chips. Feel free to send some of that maple to Texas. I'm sure I could find a use for it.
