Woodworkers often attend woodworking classes at retail stores, guild meetings and shows. What topics would you be most interested in learning about?

Your suggestions will be used to develop lectures and hands-on workshop programs at WoodWorks events around the country.

Thanks for your feedback!

Hi Jonathan, The thing I am most interested in is design. I like to design my own pieces. Sometimes I design a piece and I have a hard time knowing how to actulally get it made. What are the steps required to get a piece made. These are the things that interest me. Hope this helps. Pete

Gee - that's kind of an open-ended question. Who is your primary audience? If it's woodworkers of all skill levels, then you could have a hundred different courses.

As a newbie, here are some I'd attend:

- Setting up power tools (TS, Jointer, Planer, etc)
- Safe use of power tools and jigs to help me keep my fingers
- Router techniques
- Sharpening of hand tools
- Mastering the mortise and tenon (with several ways to do them)
- Intro to scroll saws
- Intro to carving
- Intro to lathes (each student can take home a pen they made)
- Intro to ________ <-- pick a tool or procedure
- How to make cabriole legs

The list goes on.
:)

I hope this helps!
