I requested help from fellow creekers to solve a problem I caused by inadequate design of a danish modern bench. Thanks to all who responded. I had really good advice from Earl Kelly, a gifted furniture maker in nearby Pensacola and a fellow creeker. Here is the repaired bench, it may be a little flimsy but will be adequate for our purposes. This is my first effort with danish cord and it is a steep learning curve. I got a lot of help from a Fine Woodworking Magazine article and video:

Very nice. That is a technique I want to try sometime.

Dell, nice job on the repair. I remember reading the original thread. The stretchers you added looks like they have been there all along and don't seem out of place to me.
