Usefulness of belt/disk sander?

Was looking at one of these jet belt / disk sanders
JET 708596K JSG-96OS 6-Inch/9-Inch 3/4-Horsepower Open Stand Belt/Disc Sander, 115-Volt 1-Phase

at a decent price... I do a little bit of everything...furniture, boxes, etc, etc....
I have a drum sander and other than that it's hand or orbital sanders.....

Would I have an "ah ha" moment in using something like this or is it just a nice to have?

Since I got an oscillating belt sander my belt disc has been used very, very rarely. If I was to do it again, I would get a 12" disc for that sort of thing and a larger oscillating belt/spindle machine. I make tables, chests, dressers, small items like pic frames and jewelry boxes.
