I have a Jet air cleaner. I have the washable outer filter and usually wait for windy day to blow it out outside with the airhose. I am wondering how often folks replace the inner filter? The inner filter is $45 or so, not a huge dealer. I have tried to blow it out but it seems to trap a lot of dust that doesn't come out. I hate blowing this fine dust back in to the air, no matter how windy it is. Other suggestions on how to clean?

Thoughts?

I also have a Jet cleaner. I have two washable inner filters and exchange them about every three months. The winter is not a great time to wash a dirty filter so I just store the dirty one until the weather moderates a bit. I gently vacuum the dirty filter before i wash it out. I also have a washable outer pre-filter that I vacuum off about weekly to minimize dust particle migration thru to the inner filter. I just changed the inner filter a couple of days ago so should be good for the rest of the winter.
