I thought I would share some pics of my new storage cabinets I just finished for the shop. This is a pic of the upper and lower cabinets closed.

Lower cabinet is for router and small parts box storage. It was a fun project. All the tool hangers took some time to make.

That's pretty nice. Lot's of storage innot too much space. I like the box joints on the drawers, too.

Some organization! You must have spent a lot of time planning the layout. Great utilization of space.

Very nice indeed. Well excecuted. I'm in the middle of building one very similar to this. Started 9 months ago and got derailed on a few other projects. Hopefully I'll get back to it soon. Where did you get the wooden handled screwdrivers? I bought some recently but they were MUCH larger than I anticipated so I returned them. I'm looking for a smaller set (to drive hinge screws, etc.).

Yowzer. Looks great. The middle section looks like the one I built from a FFW article. I still haven't gotten all the hanger upper things made. That's a lot of work.

Wow, I guess I'm going to need to go to church this weekend. I know your not supposed to covet ANYTHING of thy neighbors! You make it real hard to be good.
Thanks,

Very nice. 48 chisels, wow... Those tools hanging on the wall beside this must feel left out :). What are the dimensions of this if you don't mind. Thanks, John...

Nice cabinets. I have that exact same accessory in my shop. The round black one on the bench......

Sweet,
Three or four of those and I'd be set..
I'd also need a much larger shop but it would be great not to keep tools in storage bins..

Thank you for all the kind words. The shop is a bit larger then some, 40 x 60, heated and cooled, with a dedicated finishing room and bathroom. I bought the screwdrivers from a yard sale. One of those "how much do you want?" moments. $3.00 :)) The dimensions are roughly 95" tall with both cabinets combined, 47" wide, and 14" deep. As you can tell with those measurements, it fit nicely in regards to sheet goods.

Well done!!! That's a lot of tools in a lot of cabinet in not a lot of space. Pretty wood, too. I'm gonna show my ignorance here and ask, is that maple?

Impressive! How did you come up with the dimensions for the door depth and the secondary compartments? Any sizes you would change?

I have been wanting to build something similar for a long long time.

Thanks for sharing!

Maple ply with maple trim. All the tool holders were made from whatever scraps I grabbed. Lots of various hardwoods.
