New lathe---TOYL

Just bought this over the weekend-- the great plan (yah right) is to use this at shows to turn pens.
Still have to buy a few items---foot switch--wood lathe tool rest.
Then I need to built a small work bench/table.
Get some plex for a three sided sheild.
Just thought you folks might get a smile out of the beast.:)

Just using a bathroom scale it weighs 11 lbs. These little lathes have a working accuracy that should exceed .0005. You would not beleive how well built it is.
Since I only want it for turning pens-- I thought it would be the right size.
I have been using a full size lathe so far. When I get this set up they way I want it I will let you know how it worked out.

You could put a strap on it and put it around your neck. Then you wouldn't be stuck in one spot doing demos while talking to the prospective buyers. :) :D :)

That looks like it will work very well for what you intend!
