This stuff smells when turned...
Finished with Waterlox
Comments welcome.

I got some tearout around the inside walls thatI didn't see until the 2nd coat of finish :(

Beautiful grain. I like the slight off set on the bottom as well.

Great form on this Prashun............very pretty wood, and a great finish. I would rate this one A+ ............I don't know how you could have done it better! Love the ogee curve, as it looks balanced, and I like a foot on a turning, as it gives a little lift. The only thing is I wish you had included a pic of the bottom.

Prashun, you nailed the ogee!!! Excellent form. I don't see much tearout, but if you can get it back on the lathe (vacuum chuck?) you could do a little work on the inside. In any event - good work!!

I don't think that you need to be too humble about this bowl. Very nice. The wood and finish come across very well and the shape seems to just flow. You did not give the size, but had nice eye appeal.

Looks good, Prashun! I like the little foot on this one, and the form and coloring are great. You're right about the smell of that zebrawood.

Nice work Prashun, as for tearout, that is Zebrawoods last name, I did find it very splintery wood the one and only time I turned some  many moons ago now.

Looks wonderful Prashun! I really like the foot you added, fits the form perfectly and the colors are quite the eye catcher. I've never turned zebrawood, what does it smell like . . . I take it that it isn't a nice smell?

Beautiful bowl-really like the curve. I agree about the smell-reminds me of campfires and a bunch of teenage boys.....
