Dan the WOW site is the result from the time rec.crafts.woodturning was the only mayor site for woodturners, (but no pictures and no advertising) and there was always some spamming going on etc., some people got quite upset with that.
So Herman De Vries set up this site where you would have to be invited and that could be controlled, if you weren't liked they strew you out (just like here :rolleyes:)
It also could handle the pictures, and a lot of turners are members and visit and post pictures there, so ask to be invited and you will get access.
And no I'm not a member, so I can't invite you :)
