Here is my first try ata ring holder. My wife likes it, so that is good enough for now. It was definitely a good way to finish the day after clearing snow.

Nice! Lil missie has a glass one, and Im sending her SIL a potpourri, and thought I might have a go at a matching walnut one of these w/it. Looks like it would be a quick and fun little job! Thanks for posting.

Nicely done. I keep thinking I need to try my hand at one of these as well.

That is very cool, I think I see one of these in my future.

Nice work, Steve. Of course, a good husband would have presented it with another very nice NEW ring, with lots of those sparkly rocks in it!!

Thanks for the comments.

My "Oh No" moment came when I realized I still needed to reverse it to turn off the tennon. Luckily the post fit right inside the chuck and spindle. I just slipped a little paper towel over the chuck and poked the post through the hole. I have to say I was pretty happy that worked out.

John, we are in the midst of renovating/restoring/remodeling an 1830's colonial and the only rocks in the near future are the granite steps to our front door and the stone walls along the road that are both in need of repair.

Good looking ring holder Steve! What kind of wood?

Have fun with your restoration! Neat thing is you never knew what you may find!

Nice ring holder. I made one by mistake, I had drilled through the bottom of a small bowl so I turned a short fat finial and glued it in the hole.

Really nice and it could double as a raisin juicer. :D
