does anybody have a source for jewelry box felt for drawers and ring bars woodcraft and rockler seem high.

I have bought felt from Michael's. Probably any craft or art supply store will have it. They also have the thin, paper sheathed foam that I have used under the felt as padding.
Next up is a box that I will try lining with suede leather. I found some at an upholstery supplier who stocks hides in addition to the usual fabrics. At only $3/sf I'll give it a try in a box I just started.
