Book ends - needing repair

Hi all,
I made three pair of these bookends about 8 years ago. About a year ago, the one bookend's veneer top lifted off. I need to find a small piece of cherry veneer to repair it. Does anyone know where I can get an 8" x 8" piece of cherry veneer (oversized to allow for trimming)? I've seen large packs of veneer for $30 but I only need one small piece. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

I picked up a bunch of Walnut Veneer on Ebay. I did a quick search and they have a bunch of Cherry listed, but I am sure about the thickness.

I never would have thought of ebay for veneer. Found a piece for $5 which includes shipping. Thanks Scott.
