Spalted Maple(?) - 12 x 4; George's Wax - Commission potato mashing bowl

Elm Vase - 8 x 6 1/4; not yet finished - got this wood from local Creeker - Phil St. Germain - Thanks Phil. Hollowed this freehand with Ellsworth tools and a Hunter #5.

Thanks all for the positive comments. I think I'm beginning to get the "shape" part of bowls... now on to surface embellishment and more $$... deeper into the vortex...

Curt - That is a good idea. I can probably find a chunk of maple around the shop somewhere that would be good for a potato masher... might just throw it in as a freebie with the commission.
