Here are a couple of pieces I've made lately.

The snowdude is about 4" tall. He's a collaboration with my wife. I turned him, she painted him. Don't panic, it's only Ash. No pretty wood was harmed in this project.

The pen is for the Boy's teacher. Curly Maple with food coloring and CA finish.

Those are very cool, I talked to my wife this week about doing a snowman together just as you did, I turn it, she paints it since she is an instructer in One Stroke Painting.
