Has anyone used parts from a treadmill to build a drum sander?

I'm thinking a treadmill may have the bearings and the drum.

Nor sure if the motor is strong enough.

Just thought someone else might have had the same crazy idea.

Not crazy, just a little out of the envelope. I'm still trying to cobble up a drive train for my old style delta midi lathe from tm parts. first version didn't work out too well...no torque. I'll get it figured out though.
