I am currently looking to build base cabinets with SOmmerfelds system and want to use leg levelers in the front of the cabinet. I am concerned that without the side going all the down and the way he supports the floor with cleats I could not put these under the cabinet floor, maybe under the cleat and side??
Normally the side would run to the floor and a cleat gets screwed to the inside of the side and this would support the cabinet floor on the side. The front of the cabinet floor is T & G to the face frame.
I am considering stopping the side to 1" below the Cabinet floor and using a 1" cleat then position the levelers under the side and cleat. This should leave me with 3.75" min for the leveler.
As for the back wall I was going to run a ledger strip on the wall.
