Good Morning,
Right now wood peck has the precision router lift V1 for $199 and the V2 for $329. Is the V2 worth the extra $130.00

Depends on how often you change bits. I have the V1 and I love it, but it is a bit of a long crank to the top for bit changes. Its the only complaint I have, and I believe the V2 has a course height crank separate from the fine adjustment on the V1 you only have fine height adjustment. IMO it isn't worth the difference in price, but it might be to you.

I love my PRL V1. It's fantastic. :-)

Thanks Dave, I can do a lot of manual cranking for $130.00 :) If that is the major difference, it would not be worth it to me.

I'm pretty sure that's the big thing. There are probably others too. I saw somebody bought an allen head socket for their small cordless drill...that would definitely automate things, and probably only costs $5. I've been thinking about grabbing one of those.

Even one of those makita Li-Po hand screw drivers for 20$ would be a good investment.

That's my plan - cordless and a bit. Dedicated TO the router table.

The ONLY downside to my 32tpi V1 is ... that ... and truthfully ... it's a nitpick, at worst.

FWIW: I just checked mine.

It takes a 10mm hex bit. Definitely available ... Sears, or other.

Thanks, I was looking on the woodpeck site and between your comments and what I read I dont think I can justify the $130 for it.

Thanks again for your help!

I have them both for the "original" $30 difference I say get the V2, but at $130 get the V1. Since the clearance keeps running on and on I keep thinking I will get another one before they are gone.

I was looking at it too, but they don't have the router collars for 800series PC routers...Guess I'll get the Jessem. I can't justify $300+ for a router lift at this point.

I have a PRL-v1 that I have run for years and bought a second one so I guess I am a fan. I justs couldn't stand the thought of not being able to get my hands on another one of these some time in the future. Truly and elegant and reliable design. I bought a $14 lithium screwdriver gun from Costco and fitted it with a hex bit. I will change bits several times during a session in the shop and it is not a problem for me.

I have had the V1 for about 7 years now...wouldn't change a thing. They used to sell a drill adapter (I have one and use it all the time) but I did not see it on the site just now. I recommend you get the lock ring set-but I see they are plastic now, mine are all Aluminum. The cranking does take a little effort-not sure if a little screw driver thing would operate it.
