Hi All,

This book was recommended as a good reference. Well on is on ebay and the starting price is $900.00!!!

They say it is in very good shape. Is this the going price for this book? If it is I don't think it will be added to my library any time soon.

Thanks

Is it a first edition or signed copy or both? Could be some factor which makes it worth the bucks to someone. Just not me.

The Master Craftsman of Newport by Moses is a classic.
It features an abundant amount of information on the Goddard and Townsend cabinetmakers of Newport in the 1700`s.
I may be somewhat off but a Townsend (Jacob?) secratary sold at a New York auction house (Christies?) for around 10 million. I have the correct information but am too lazy to get it. This is prety close though.
Last year I was going to buy one of the few remaining copies for 900.00. Waited to long, the price is now 2000.00
Jeffery Greene has them. ballandclaw.com
