I posted this question earlier(12/12). Any progress or update on this?
What I am looking for is the ability to only view a select set of forums (preselected by me) each time I come in and hit "New Posts:.
Thanks and I AM NOT being impatient, just checking again.

Jim,

The custom search feature is still on the list. I had Aaron working on enabling the new publishing features the last few days. Maybe he can get it done this weekend.

Thanks Keith. I know Aaron has his hands full with all of the changes/requests.

I do it by creating a shortcut with a string like this: http://www.sawmillcreek.org/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=17,20,34,43,42,38,8,26&sort=date

You can save your advanced search preferences to do this for you, I made a post with instructions and PICTURES! above ;) Easy to follow, and solves this problem for you while we wait for the old functionality. If I could figure out the forum numbers, maybe I'd use the shortcut link too ;)

Jim,

Aaron must have read your post last night. The custom search program is working this morning. Select the New Post link under the Home button on the menu bar. The drop down menu allows you to select the forums you prefer to eliminate from your new posts search.

After complaining at length about the missing modifications to the new software install, I do want to thank AAron for installing the forum masking feature. Thank You Sir.

Once again the world is good and spinning on axis.:D;)
