I picked up these two Bahco saws last weekend. I could not be happier! The backsaw has really impressed me with it's quick, clean cuts.

We tend here at SMC to wax eloquent about vintage hand tools or modern equivalents with lots of rosewood and brass. But it's worth remembering that a quality hand tool is a quality hand tool, regardless of the embellishments. There is so much absolute junk out there passing for hand saws that it really is a pleasure when you get one that is designed and made with the expectation that it'll actually be used on wood. Congratulations on your new tool acquisitions.

I don't know their saws, but I have a set of BAhco chisels from about 1980 that are quite good.
