Would this be a good starter for occasional bowl carving?

I've been hankerin to do a little pyro and carving work, and would like to try it out....
Would this power carver (http://www.woodturnerscatalog.com/store/Carving___Pyrography___Carving___Living_Art_Power_ Carver___dura_flex?Args=) be a good starter kit for occasional carving on bowls and HFs? Looks like a good price...

Anyone have any experience with this one?

hi jim,
I have this carver it is a little lite weight. you would be better off with a weecheer system.I use the orange carver
for sanding not much carving handpiece gets a little hot when carving but does well when sanding. this is my opion as a user of this product.
