I too am looking into purchasing one soon. Seems for me, a hobbiest at best, the Ridgid is a decent deal. Can use up to
1 3/8" pins and a decent price of $90 online. I have a few other Ridgid nailers and they have held up well.

HD was out of the PC pin nailer that is on sale, so I spent a bit more on the Bostitch at Lowes. It claims to take 1 3/16" pins, though I haven't seen them for sale. I like it, but I find the pins have a way of ending up just where I need to saw a miter later on.

I picked up a Grex from Woodcraft a couple of years ago and have been using it with no problems.
I've never had a Bostich trim gun last me longer than 6 months.

I have the PC and it has worked well, but there have been times I've wished for a little longer pin, not much, maybe 1-1/4" to 1-3/8".

I use this one from HF.

I haven't had any problems with it in light hobbiest use. On sale with a 20% off coupon I think I got it for about $15. It might be nice if it accommodated longer pins.

The Harbor Freight one is one of their "gems". For <$20, it is a steal. It FEELS really well-made. Unless you really have some use for super-long pins, I would highly recommend the HF one.

Another vote for the HF pin nailer. I think I paid $16 for mine and it works great.

I got a Grex a few years ago when they first came out - worked perfectly pretty much every time. It shot up to 1 3/8".

Sold it to my buddy a month ago and got a new Grex that shoots up to 2". They are pricey but worth it if you want to shoot long pins - if you hang crown with a pinner longer is better

I have been well satisfied with my PC that I got about 3 years ago.

If I ever have to replace mine it will be another Grex.
