I recently bought some flat wood for making another Maloof inspired rocker. While milling it, one piece of wood caught my eye. I decided that this piece was not going into the rocker, but on turned things, pens primarily. I have attached pics of several pens I have made using this piece of wood. The pens are actually laying on the piece of wood itself. As you can see, there is plenty more stock for pens.
Comments welcome as always.

Good looking pens Tom:D! Not to much of the supply you sent me left. As a thought...the pic's may look better if they weren't camo'd:eek:

That's some nice looking mesquite! What style of pen is that in the first and third photos?

Nice Pens and Ditto Davids Question. They kind of look like modified Sierras???

David/James,
The pen style is Patrizio from PSI. New style I think.
Jim, you are right, shouldn't have laid them on the board.

Tom, no doubt it made into some fine looking pens. But, just think, how nice would a Maloof rocker look if the whole load of mesquite looked that way!!

John,
There is one. Go to www.mesquiterocker.com (http://www.mesquiterocker.com) and look at it. I just checked and it sold since looking last. $32,500. Probably some lawyer bought it. There are a couple of pics of it. This is the guy I took the course from.
