Christmas ornament

I made this ornament for my grand daughter. Its spalted maple and ebony, before I glue it together I put a bb inside the globe this way people know its hollow.

Thank you for all the compliments. The bb inside the ornament was my uncle's idea, he was a wood shop teacher in wisconsin for 35yrs. When he passed away I inherited his lathe, its a union graduate bowl lathe
