Veritas Cap Iron

Just wondering if anyone has purchased one and if so what they think of it.
I have and old Stanley Bailey #4 and was thinking of getting a veritas blade and cap iron for it. Was also wondering if the mouth would be too small with them since the the iron and blade are thicker than the originals.

As a matter of fact, just picked up one two days ago for a jack. Very nice, no mods needed to the plane body at all.

Hi Gil,

I picked up the LV cap iron and 2" blade earlier this month for a #4. Sharp right out of the box and because I had both the blade and cap I needed to move the frog back a couple thousands to open up the mouth. No filing on the casting just sliding the frog.

It is funny even though I keep buying things from LV the list keeps getting longer.
