last piece

just before it's too late this year...
a last piece:
it's cherry 150 high x 95mm dia
This piece has another name. I don't dare choose for title. :rolleyes:
When I was turning, it seems to me like a torso with cleavage and decapited too
and for this reason I thought of Queen Marie-Antoinette...
but for convenience, I'll name Anne Boleyn, it's same fate but more out your history.

Nudity or its references in art are usually dismissed regarding vulgarity, infact they are embraced. I see your reference and also that of a shoulder being exposed. Very elegant.

Thanks for your comments
@ Tom: it's combination: turning, power carving & hand carving/sanding
@ Jim: Turning the outside, the upper neck and hollowing. Then penciling the shape and carving it with a burr.
Widen this with a little rasp (Corradi) in order to positition the 1/4 router bit (router strenghten on the banjo)
move the piece by hand on the desired way and you get a "like turned shape"
