Looking at getting the Grrripper and was wondering if the GR200 a better bet than the GR100. The GR200 has additional spacer and stabilizing plate. So should I get:

(2) GR200's
(2) GR100 and one upgrade kit (makes it a GR200)

or just get one....

I have 2 GR200's. Bought one then watched the DVD and realized...DUH! I use them as is most of the time...and it only takes a second to change the configuation. Go for both is my recommendation.

Dave -

Recommend you get 2 GR200s. I leave the "outrigger" on mine most of the time and raised up. Real easy to drop down when you need it. Those Grrrippers are a great invention. Also . . . get the tape and watch it. You will really appreciate the versatility of the system.

Even shows you how to clean them! :D :D :) (You'll understand after you see the tape.)

Hi Dave,

As everyone here knows by watching our magazine, I use them all the time at the table saw and on the router table. The GR200's extra features add a lot of versatility to the system making it a really remarkable tool.

Not wanting to upset the moderators here, I won't provide our website, but I will tell you that we include the DVD free with the GRR-Rippers. It's a $9.95 face value, but as so many people have stated, it adds a lot more value to the overall use of the GRR-Ripper system.

Thanks for your input. I purchased 2 100's on sale at Rockler. I'm sure the 200 would be nicer but I would rather have 2 than one. I wanted to keep the price under $100 with the splitter. Accomplished! :D I plan on using the Grippers to make pen blanks from some 3/4" Jotaba I have left over from my floor I installed.

I bought a 200 several months ago, but never used the added features of the 200, so when Rockler put the 100 on sale or $39, I bought one. I like the idea of having two, when feeding long stock, so you can do hand over hand with them. This is a feature that I saw Chris do on Woodworking at Home. Either 200's or 100's, get two and use them often.
