I have a addiction. NEW LATHES:rolleyes:. OK I bought a Delta today. I am going to sell my Jet 1236 tomorrow, and so I bought this today. I refuse to show it clean but here are pictures to show it happened. Also 2 Buckeye Burl pens with Turquoise inlay. Enjoy and thanks for the advise. PS, I am liking the Delta, I really like the slower speed on the fastest setting. It is 350rpm's slower than my 1014vs Jet. Thanks for looking. Russell

Congrats on the new lathe! A couple of nice looking pens off of a nice looking new machine... That's pretty hard to beat.

Welcome to Delta Force!! Very nice pens, BTW. And, keep in mind - that Delta will turn all sorts of things in addition to pens.

If you think you need help, you're in the wrong place. :) I think we're all addicted and afflicted.

Congrats on the Delta and nice pens! Where did you get your aftermarket tool rest from? I really like the round bar rest.

Thanks!
Jon

Beautiful pens Russ:D!! I think pens are the only thing that look ok with a gloss finish...sometimes;). You'll pay for that lathe in no time!!

Congrats on the lathe! How do you like the round tool rest? I always thought it was too tough to get the tool supported close enough to the work piece. Lovely pens too!

Hey Jim, that lathe was paid for with pen sales. I could have got a pair of them. I like the round tool rest better than the factory one. For me it is just a smoother surface. It has a longer rest for larger projects . Thanks for all the nice posts. Russell
