Finished this one this evening. Not sure how much more I have of this piece of log but it sure has been giving me some nice wood!

Maple Bowl
6x1.75x3/16

That's another good looking bowl from some really colorful spalted stuff. It has a very Hawaiian calabash feel to it.

Nice bowl, too bad all good things must end. Sounds to me like you've good a pretty stash. Maybe this log's brother will show up.

I have a few more pieces of maple that are now covered in leaves...hopefully it works as well as this piece did! Now...just to be patient and wait wait wait!

Ken, nice form on this one, and you are right - that log has been good to you.

Sometimes being a hillbilly sucks...But, the good outweighs the bad - 10 to 1!!! Hillbilly, and proud of it!

Nothin' wrong with hickabillies. And nothing wrong about the piece either. I'm still trying to get a decent shape. You dun gud!

That is an awesome curve on that bowl. It is a perfect arc. My eye follows the curve from the rim right through the bottom and back up the other side to the rim. And then there is the wood WOW!!!!

that is an unbelievable piece,the shape itself makes the piece beautiful, but with that wood it's just doubles the beauty.Very nice piece.

That one has some Wow factor to it.........nice bowl Ken!
