I did this a while back and I have not been able to get much shop time in but I have sneeked a little in. This is Osage orange and walnut 5 3/4" by 13". Finish is 2 coats sanding sealer, 3 coats of Deft gloss and buffed with the Beal. Please forgive the sorry photos.

lovely turning, very unusual form with a small footprint on the pedestal. The unique combinations of the wood as it looks segmented with rings is also not something one sees everyday. Beautiful finish on it, and I think it is a looker for sure. That finial has its own thing going on as well. The walnut on the finial has a purple-ish hue to it..........I have seen that before on some walnut I have turned.
That is a nice display piece with a lot of interest.

Interesting piece. Hard to beat the osage orange and walnut. That finial sure has an interesting color.

Interesting form but the wood combo is really nice.

Thanks for the coments. The walnut is from 2 different pieces causing a difference in color. Some was cut 80 years ago and some was from a tree cut in my back yard a few years ago. The old wood was a lot darker.
