Dear Fellow Creekers:

Any Creekers planning on attending the International Wood Collectors Society (ICWS) meeting that is being held at Lake Yale, FL February 23-27, 2011? It is a really cool event with a lot to offer flat wooders and spinners.

Don't confuse this with the Florida Woodturning Symposium (FWS) that is held at the same facility February 3-6, 2011

It would be nice to meet some more Creekers at either or both of these events.

I love the Creek - always something new here...

I'd never heard of IWCS before. Just peeked at their web site.
Won't be able to make the February Florida meeting but considering a visit to the Indiana event in August.

It's pretty cool. I've only attended the one in Florida. They had a huge gallery of anything and everything you can imagine made of wood. They also auctioned off a bunch of wood and had a horizontal saw mill and were cutting up logs into slabs. The attendees were buying them as quickly as they came off the mill. There are several demonstrations that you can attend. I may be doing a woodturning demo for them this year.
