View Full Version : Vector cuts always sound like this?

The other day I was checking my layout by vector tracing with the red dot, and I had the lid up and my exhaust off - I noticed my helix jerked/stuttered on the curves (especially those that involved a lot of vertical movement)- it struck me as odd. Normal?

It's not something I do a lot, so I don't really have a reference of what it usually sounds like. The cuts/engraving are always clean and sharp - but it just doesn't sound like a piece of precision equipment.

Thanks for your help!

What speed were you using? Vector cutting isn't meant to be done in the 100% speed area (with good results).

Check to make sure the curves are "smooth" in the file and not too many nodes and straight lines.
