Engraving Dog Tags

I have purchased brass and stainless 1 x 2" h dog tags. Can you engrave portraits (halftones) on them? What would be the proper selections, speeds etc.? I have an Epilog Mini 40.

You'll need to use a marking compound, such as Cermark, for those. An easier way is to use anodized aluminum tags... no marking compound needed, and relatively light power works well.

I second Dan, my people love the colours I offer, they are not as noisy when worn and they mark easy easy..

You might have good luck with the black anodized tags from Chewbarca (sp?). I've engraved line art and text on them...I imagine you could etch images as well and forgo any Cermark application(s).
